Local businesses are reporting that a company called “Universal Ad” is soliciting ads to put on the Community Guide, the magnet that usually includes all emergency and county contact numbers. This company will call you from (817) 633-3300. While this may possibly be a legitimate company, this company does not have authorization from Columbia County Sheriff Mike Loe, Columbia County Judge Larry Atkinson, or Library Director Rhonda Rolen to solicit ads for the Community Guide. Please contact your local law enforcement if you believe you have been a victim of a scam.
