The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has four full-time  Bailiff/Transport Officers. These officers are present in county courtrooms maintaining the safety and security for the Judge, prosecutor, defense attorney, jury, and other citizens. These officers transport inmates to and from court, various appointments, other detention centers, and related locations. Bailiff/Transport Officers execute all mental commitment transportation and mental commitment orders.
