Back to School & County Fair

Back to school time is an important event for our entire community. Students and teachers are back at school after a summer off. Back to school is a busy time for us all.

During this busy time, please be extra cautious in traffic. Be mindful of our school traffic zones especially during the morning hours and early afternoons. Keep an extra look out for school buses and possible bus routes in your neighborhood as they could delay your travel to work/home/school. Remember, all drivers must stop if the red stop sign is out and the lights are flashing on a school bus.

The Columbia County Fair is coming up! This year, it's scheduled for September 16-21, 2019. I have attached their Fair Catalog so you can look over it for the special events and deadlines. Come out and support the community!

5:00 Parade
Jr. Miss/Miss Columbia County Fair Queen Pageant
Poultry & Rabbit judging
Art, horticulture, and all home economic judging
Tuesday:
$15 armband unlimited riding
Jr. Livestock judging - breeding swine, market hogs
Talent Show
Wednesday:
$20 armband
Jr. Livestock judging - dairy goat/market goat, market lamb, registered beef, commercial heifer
Dance contest
Thursday:
$20 armband
Jr. Livestock judging
Baby Miss, Toddler Miss, Tiny Miss Columbia County Fair Queen Pageant
Friday:
$20 armband
Little, Petite, Pre-Teen, Teen Miss Columbia County Fair Queen Pageant
