Columbia County Sheriff Mike Loe would like to announce that our office has launched a smart phone app called “Mobile Patrol.” This smart phone app is free to the citizens of Columbia County who have an Android or iPhone device. Citizens can search for “Mobile Patrol” in your App Store to download the app, then search in “Arkansas” for “Columbia” county.
Users of the app will have access to real-time detention center information including mug shots, charges, and offender information. Other features of this app are an agency directory, news and press releases, crime tips, and push alert notifications. Users will be able to access press releases published by the sheriff’s office, as well as submit crime tips directly to us. The part of “Mobile Patrol” we are most excited about is the alert notification. This alert notification allows the sheriff’s office to send alerts directly to your phone related to man hunts, amber alerts, silver alerts, road closures, weather advisories, and other local news.
We have made it our mission to use modern technology to keep the citizens of Columbia County informed and allow access to information related to the Sheriff’s Office. It is also our mission to keep an open door policy to insure that communication of information flows freely between the sheriff’s office and the community.
We are pleased to introduce this new technology to the citizens of Columbia County and are looking forward to hearing feedback from our community.
